Childcare Funding Explained

15 hours Funding Term Time Only

A simple part‑time option offering morning or afternoon sessions across the week

  • 8:30am – 11:30am (5 days)
  • 1:00pm – 4:00pm (5 days)
  • 8:00am – 1:00pm (3 days)
  • 1:00pm – 6:00pm (3 days)

30 hours Funding Term Time Only

A full school‑day or extended‑day pattern for families needing more childcare each week

  • 9:00am – 3:00pm (5 days)
  • 8:00am – 6:00pm (3 days)
  • 8:00am – 6:00pm (2 days) + 8:00am – 1:00pm / 1:00pm – 6:00pm (2 days)

30 Hours Stretched Offer over 50 weeks

Funded hours spread evenly across the year

  • 50 Weeks = 22hrs 48mins
  • 9:00am – 3:00pm × 3 days + 8:00am – 12:50pm / 1:00pm – 5:50pm
  • 8:30am – 4:30pm × 2 days + 8:30am – 3:20pm / 9:00am – 3:50pm

Funding and Charges Overview

We follow the Department for Education’s guidance on charging transparency. Below is a breakdown of our funded hours and any chargeable extras, in line with the DfE’s Chargeable Extras template. If you do not wish to take up specific extras, such as meals, you are welcome to provide your own — please speak to our team to discuss options.

Alternatively you are welcome to bring a packed lunch for your child, please see our packed lunch policy. We are unable to reheat food from home, you are welcome to bring in rice or pasta in a food flask.
